Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Translate with Biscuit mobile application (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Translate with Biscuit is a language learning application that allows users to translate words, create flashcards, take quizzes, and track learning progress through daily streaks. The Service includes both free features and premium features available via subscription.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile section within the app by tapping "Delete Account." This will permanently remove your account and all associated data.

4. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Translate with Biscuit offers premium features ("Biscuit Premium") through auto-renewing subscriptions.

• Plans Available: Monthly and Yearly subscription options.
• Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-Renewal: Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Managing Subscriptions: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Apple ID account settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions) or through the "Manage Subscription" option in the app's Profile section.
• Free Trial: If offered, any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription.

5. User Content

You retain all rights to the words, phrases, and translations you save within the app. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process this data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you (e.g., syncing across devices, generating quizzes, producing AI-powered translations).

6. AI-Powered Features

Translate with Biscuit uses third-party AI services to provide translations and language enrichment. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated translations may not always be perfectly accurate. You should not rely on Translate with Biscuit translations for critical, legal, or medical purposes.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any laws or regulations.
• Submit content that is harmful, abusive, or illegal for translation.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Attempt to circumvent any rate limits or access controls.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, if you violate these Terms. You may also terminate these Terms at any time by deleting your account within the app and deleting the application from your device.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the translations provided by the underlying AI services will always be 100% accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Translate with Biscuit and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

11. Apple-Specific Terms

These Terms are between you and Translate with Biscuit (The Mammalian), not with Apple Inc. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the app. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
